Neither of you are completely correct, b/c there was a gold rush in CALIFORNIA in 1849 - the first notable one. There were silver rushes in NM, and all over the place - up in Canada: Yukon, British Columbia and in Alaska. This happened on up to the early 1900’s.

  2. oldhacks Says:

um. did you really just say the cotten gen had nothing to do with slavery? honestly? I can barely believe I just read that. and the gold rush was in 1849. the civil war was 1862. You need to learn math.

I don’t think the american people even know what we are doing in Iraq. The Green Zone is bigger then the Taj Mahal, it’s a heavily-guarded, self-contained resort that has pool-side drinks and country-western night. There are more contractors in Iraq then soldiers and Blackwater is their protectors, many times giving orders to our military! No wonder the iraqi people fight so hard for their country. We should be fighting so hard agains Washington to get our country back.

To those who are anti-Ron Paul,
If you think we need big gov’t and people can’t take care of themselves; why don’t we just burn the constitution and surrender ourselves over to communist gov’t, then everything will be happily “under control.”

  5. oldhacks Says:

for the record I never once said I wanted to raise taxes. I’m just tired of people blaming the poor when it’s obviously the rich not the poor. People in new orleans are trapped in unsanitary RV towns and they only get enough help to buy food. They dont even get enough help to move to another town. they’re just trapped there. Meanwhile you guys are going around saying that it’s their own fault. You guys just seem heartless and it makes me wonder what your motives are.

  6. benjie2429 Says:

oldhacks we’ve went back and forth on many issues but I think you know Paul the number one out of all candidates who has talked about the Inflation Tax the cause and effect of it and his solutions for it

  7. benjie2429 Says:

Well talk about dealing with the effect but dont attack the main cause of all this problem. Having a Private BANK Print Our money ON Interest. Where the FEDERAL government could print its OWN MONEY for FREE with NO interest and we would control the inflation and STOP THE over spending which DEbase our currency and NOT leave it in the hands of a PRIVATE CENTRAL bank which is the FED’s…

  8. benjie2429 Says:

AHHHAH! thE inflation tax..Thats the firs time I’ve heard anyone on the left mention that tax..Since its the biggest tax that fuels all of the issues we’ve been talking about..Finally hearing it. Thats the major issue I’ve been trying to ask Barak Obama and Hillary clinton and all the democrat leaders how will they attack the inflation tax, but the DNC says they can’t campaign in Miami no more so i will never get my questions answered.

  9. laplante31 Says:

Thats one of Ron’s best platforms is inflation tax! Getting rid of the irs the income tax and the Fed. what are you talking about?

  10. laplante31 Says:

What? We bought Louisiana From Napolian while he was fighting in Russia. Infact you could say we were helping to pay for Napolian war because we payed him with Gold. Louisiana purchase yea man.

  11. laplante31 Says:

The whole world has done this, but what brought America into economic power was not slavery. It was things like the cotton gen and the industrial revolution, or our massive amounts of Gold and silver mines travel west for Gold. Lots of things after slavery.

  12. lynnopoly Says:

All Ron Supports and non supporters should watch this video

We might need to protect freedom before next year’s presidential election.
If we wait it -may be too late!

  13. oldhacks Says:

you mean bring back slavery? cuz thats what got this country started economically…

  14. oldhacks Says:

or the predatory health care industry? or the predatory oil companies? what about defending Americans from becoming homeless? what about just being patriotic and fighting to insure that your tax dollars are spent where they are supposed to be spent. On Americans!

  16. oldhacks Says:

ron paul is right about this. what hes wrong about is how the government shouldnt be there when we need them to be. He just thinks the government should do nothing but defense. Well what about providing Americans some “defense” from the predatory inflation tax?

  17. oldhacks Says:

I dont want to tax everyone to death. I just want the taxes we spend now to go towards the poor instead of th rich. The Rich dont pay neerly the taxes we do and the poor dont get enough support to even begin to get on their feet. right now if you’re stuck in a situation thats impoverished you and you’re needing support to survive you only get enough to pay rent and food. Not a cent more. so you have no chance of getting ahead enough to be able to get on your feet.

  18. benjie2429 Says:

IF you wanna tax everyone to death move your ass to canada and scandanavia and places where they forceivly tax folks with a welfare nation. Instead of promoting independent giving of our times and money to help the needy

  19. benjie2429 Says:

Now there wasnt cameras and shit around here in miami during hurricane WILMa but we helped out now what the hell are you ranting about?

  20. benjie2429 Says:

HEY retard i was talking about Habitat for humanities who I’ve worked with in Miami to build houses. Which is exactly what Jimmy CARTER is doing right now. DID he have to raise taxes NO he built a charitable foundation where folks volunteer there time like myself or cash like Brad pitt to do something.

  21. oldhacks Says:

what have you done to repair new orleans? anything? you ever even fucking think about it? one of our founding cities. the french settled it for us then we took it when we kicked their ass back to canada. and its sitting there rotting because YOU DONT WANT TO PAY FUCKING TAXES. Im sick of this shit.

  22. benjie2429 Says:

My parents coming in this country never accepted welfare or food stamps and even when we had bad times we always worked out of it. If we don’t give folks incentives to get out of welfare what do you think will get them out of it?

  23. benjie2429 Says:

I’ve lived for many of people who are 2nd and third generations of welfare recipients and know that there are a portion of folks who mentality or phisiclaly need a hand to get out of poverty. But more than that portion are folks who are addicted to it and just use all the exuses in the book not to earn more and better their lives.

  24. benjie2429 Says:

ya get more bee’s with honey than with vinegar old hacks sees force as the only way thru taxes we all need individuals to support through donations as well as time for the poor.. Habbitat for humanities as done more help than a government force would ever do for the needy

  25. benjie2429 Says:

Well Paul has spoke against the protection and benefits that our veterans have been getting. He has been pushing for having the money go to the right places like our veterans and our nations defense here at home. But what can we as individuals do. We talk about we have to have the government help the poor by constantly raising taxes and regulating charaties but if we dont as individuals help the least of us who cant help themselves than a politician using force through taxes wont be enough…

  26. oldhacks Says:

I want you to care about your fellow Americans. You know how many of Americas homeless are veterans? I want you to be patriotic and understand what JFK meant when he said “not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country!”. that’s what I want. the problem with the right wingers is they only look at effect they never look at the cause
