big props to him choosing JSA over oldboy, it really is quite a gem of korean cinema, i didn’t know where it was taking me, and by the end of it all i pretty much had tears streaming down my face. Memories of murder is also hands down my favourite serial killer movie ever, better than se7en or zodiac by far. Good call on unbreakable it really is one of the greats of our time.

No but the image on screen doesn’t always stay there long enough for you to read the subtitle. I know you can still SEE it because the words are only at the bottom of the screen but I want to focus on everything I see and not have to stop and look at subtitles

Are you a slow reader?

He seems to like alot of Asian movies. To tell you the truth I’ve never really gotten into them. A main reason is I can’t STAND reading subtitles while trying to WATCH a movie. It totally ruins it and I feel like I’ve missed out on most of the movie

However, I agree with you on The Fifth Element, The Departed (okay), and The Dark Knight. Return of The King was okay too, I guess. I thought Cloverfield was fun.

most of your movie choices are truly terrible.

id like to defend matrix reloaded, since i basically consider it my favorite movie after cowboy bebop, which is my favorite cause of the show. the matrix one was awesome, a classic. i just like how in part two the darkness and plot was already set up so u didnt have to spend time with words. it was all style and action, i love how in the real world they’re terrorists, and the highway/weapons scene is the greatest action sequence of all time in my book.

A bit unconventional yes, but i was young when i saw it and it kinda stuck with me. I quite like it still, however i know many people dislike it. But it and unbreakable are my favourites of M. Night Shamalyan’s movies.
